What could your leaflet campaign return?

Try different costs, response rates and customer spend to see how the numbers could add up for your leaflet campaign.

Estimates depend on your assumptions. Actual results will vary with your offer, audience, design, timing and delivery.

Your estimate

Start with the basics.
Refine your estimate.

Replace the example figures with your own. Simple mode assumes every response becomes a customer; Advanced lets you adjust this and add repeat purchases.

Campaign costs

Enter the total cost in pounds for each item, rather than a cost per leaflet. The examples are not StreetHello prices.

Campaign reach

Enter how many leaflets you plan to deliver and the percentage you expect to generate a response, such as an enquiry or order.

Customer value

Enter the average sales value of one purchase, before deducting the cost of providing your goods or services.

The calculation

Clear figures.
No mystery maths.

The estimate uses your campaign costs, response rate and average spend. A dash for ROI means campaign cost is zero, so a percentage cannot be calculated.

  1. Estimate responses

Leaflets × response rate ÷ 100 gives estimated responses. In Simple mode, each response counts as one customer.

  2. Estimate revenue

Customers × average spend gives revenue. Advanced mode applies your conversion rate and adds one purchase per returning customer.

  3. Estimate ROI

(Revenue − campaign costs) ÷ campaign costs × 100 gives ROI before other business costs.

Before you decide

What this estimate means.

The calculator helps you compare possible campaign scenarios. It cannot predict an exact result.

Is this a guaranteed return?

No. Results are estimates based on your figures, not a forecast or quote. This ROI calculation excludes other business costs, so a positive result does not necessarily mean a profit.

What should I use for response rate?

Use past campaign data if you have it, or compare a range of assumptions. The pre-filled rate is only an example. Agree what counts as a response and how to track it, such as with QR codes or offer codes.

Why are simple and advanced results different?

Simple mode assumes every response leads to one purchase. Advanced mode uses your customer conversion rate and adds one extra purchase for each expected returning customer, at the same average spend.
